I myself do not really know the benefits and functions of Matlab itself, but I was asked for help by one of the students of Informatics to install Matlab on his laptop. Although I have never installed before, never even seen though, I am trying to help install Matlab on the student laptops.
Before starting the install Matlab, Matlab folder that I check on the flash disk, because the Matlab program stored in the flash disk. Matlab program consists of two folder ie DISC1 and Disc2 folder. According to experience, the installer file must exist in the folder DISC1, and it turns out well, I run the setup file in the folder Matlab 7 of DISC1.
During the installation process goes as usual, until the request is to insert disc2, I also chose disc2 browse and then click OK. Re-installation process continues until the finish without problems. The problem is that after all the installation is complete, the program Matlab 7 is installed on Windows 7 it can not run properly, the message "Runtime Error! Program C: \ MATLAB7 \ bin \ win32 \ MATLAB.exe", like in the picture below.
All the installation process does not have problems, but why Matlab 7 is already installed can not run on Windows 7? I have to answer that question myself because I have to help these students so that Matlab can be normal walks in Windows 7. A moment later I was to find out where the problem is through the old Google search, the answer I found was because Matlab program is not compatible with Windows 7. Although it is not compatible with Windows 7, Matlab can still run normally, but should be set to be compatible with Windows 7, and here's how.
1. Right click on the icon Matlab 7
2. click on Properties
3. Click the Compatibility tab
4. Give a check mark on "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and select Windows Vista (Service Pack
5. click Ok button
In the process of installing Matlab 7 on Windows 7 through the above steps, the program Matlab 7 was able to walk normally. Hopefully I install Matlab 7 on Windows 7 could be useful for blog visitors Computer tips and tricks.
